NETWORK TECHNOLOGY AND SOFTWARE

 Network Technology :

 Network technology is the use of data systems and technologies to manage and transmit digital resources over a computer network. It allows for the exchange of data between devices, systems, and applications, enabling online communication, resource sharing, and data transmission.

Here are some types of networks and their characteristics:

1) Local area network (LAN)

2) Wide area network (WAN)

Functions of network software :

a) User management allows administrators to add or remove users from the network.

b) This is particularly useful when hiring or relievingFile management lets administrators decide the location of data storage and control user access to that data.

c) Access enables users to enjoy uninterrupted access to network resources.

Software is a collection of instructions, data, or computer programs that tell a computer what to do and how to carry out specific tasks.

Here some characteristics of software technology ;

1) Intangible: Software exists as data or code, not as a physical object.

2) Easy to duplicate: Software can be copied or moved across devices.

3) Prone to bugs: Software often contains errors that require regular updates.

4) Customizable: Software can be modified to meet user or system needs.

5) Evolving: Software is regularly updated to improve functionality, security, or compatibility.
